COURSE OBJECTIVE
The Course is designed to:
Enable the student to become a Professional Nursing Practitioner who is competent, capable and competitive.
Prepare the student to be responsive and responsible in the profession and as a caring human being.
Graduates of the program are prepared for beginning level positions in community and institutional nursing service; and to have the foundation for continuing professional development.
They are prepared for post Graduate study in Nursing leading to many specialities.
B.SC. NURSING
(BACHELOR OF NURSING)

Eligibility for Admission:
A candidate seeking admission to B.Sc Nursing (Basic):
Must have Passed the 2-year Pre-University Examination or equivalent as recognized by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences with English and Science Subjects, namely: Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English
Must have obtained at least 45% (Forty-five percent) of the total marks in the Science subjects and English of the Qualifying Examination. If belonging to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe, the candidate should have obtained not less than 40% (forty percent) of the total marks in the Science subjects and English of the Qualifying Examination
Must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission.
DIPLOMA IN NURSING
(GENERAL NURSING & MIDWIFERY)
Duration: 2.5 years and 6 month Internship

Approvals: Karnataka Nursing Council and Indian Nursing Council
Eligibility for Admission:
A candidate seeking admission should have:
Passed two years of higher secondary examination or equivalent as recognized by KSDNEB with Science subjects Viz. Physics, Chemistry, Biology
Obtained atleast Forty percent (40%) of the total marks in science subject of the qualifying examination
Completed minimum 17 years and maximum 35 years of age at the time of admission
